By Golly Who’s Molly?

ok dog experts the call is out for you. I told you in a previous post that I had a brother-in-law who got his dear wife a DNA test to find out what type of dog they had. Before the results are in, take a guess. She is gorgeous!
Looking for a stud for a King Charles Spaniel in Michigan. Also looking for a Australian shephard pup (can be a mix) also in MI Please leave a reply if you have info on either.

Black Lab/Retriever mixed with a some Sheppard-type dog. Sorry don’t know my dog types so well.

This is a hard one. All I can come up with is Flat coated retriever and collie. Sometimes they are so far removed from the dna that you can’t recognize it…not to mention, two puppies from one litter can look extremely different.

Lab and Border Collie.
P.S. Molly is my K-9 niece.

Here are some additional details (from Molly’s human “mom”) that might assist with the guesses.
Molly chases squirrels and birds, cocks her ears, herds other dogs, and barks like a herding dog. She’s lightning fast and howls like a coyote. Her ears are sometimes floppy like a retriever and sometimes up with floppy tips like most herding dogs. She’s all black (looks like deep dark brown in bright sunlight) except for a white patch on her chest, under her chin, and the tips of her back feet. Her eyes are light brown, she’s tall and weighs 56 lbs with a petite bone structure, has some webbing between her toes, is a strong swimmer, and has very LONG hair. She has a very bushy tail that she often carries high and curled like an “Eskimo” dog, and she loves to dig holes in the backyard. She will retrieve toys and bumpers but prefers to chase her K-9 brother (flatcoated retriever) and steal whatever he is retrieving. She is affectionate (loves hugs and will lean into you as you hug her), loves people, and is a social butterfly at the dog parks (more interested in people than other dogs — traveling from person to person to get pets and hugs from everyone). Her favorite playmate is a beagle/hound mix named Toby, and her favorite activity is cuddling on the couch with her head resting on your lap.
Based on Molly’s looks, personality, and behavioral characteristics, her mom’s three guesses are:
Guess #1: Border Collie and Flatcoated Retriever
Guess #2: Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, and some type of “Eskimo” dog (Samoyed, Husky, etc)
Guess #3: Border Collie, Golden Retriever, and Labrador Retriever
