Pawluxury Green: I Double Dog Dare You!

Organic eco-friendly dog stuff …do I dare? I am an average consumer, not a total tree-hugger, but mindful and not wasteful. Honestly I would be a little scared to go into an all eco-friendly, green, sustainable product store because I feel like, as my dear friend put it “…just one more thing to fail at.” Could I ever be Green enough? Pawluxury is a great organic and ecofriendly dog products company out of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, that is friendly and non-threatening. As a pet product developer I cruise dog stores, pet aisles, and dog sites on a regular basis. I ask myself what do I think of this store or site? How do I feel in here? Do I feel acknowledged, rushed, a nuisance, or valued.
The Pawlux.com site is full of unique products both organic, fair trade or made in the USA. Their specialty seems to be organic products like luscious dog treats from Polka Dog Bakery, Wagatha’s, and Zukes. The owners Adam and Wendy are so passionate about the products they sell; you can watch a video from their blog, the Daily Bark, sampling the dog treats themselves! Pawluxury offers a very fine array of specialty spa quality products like shampoos, oils and balms from the likes of Happy Tails, Woofwild, Frog Works and other interesting brands. Honestly I felt a little envious that my little dog had such a pampering site with such high quality products. It felt like a retreat just to go around the site!
The site is so user friendly. You can pick a product by category or by the ailment your dog is exhibiting. After selecting a product they have a product review and four symbols to show if the product was: Ecofriendly, Made in the USA, All Natural Ingredients, and 100% Guaranteed. Each product can be further analyzed by the description, company, reviews and video.
My next test was the call. They my call was answered on the 2nd ring by the co-owner, Adam. I tried to be all undercover. “It’s cold and snowy where I live. I have an 11 pound miniature poodle, is there any balm you can recommend?” He walked me through the different selections and chatted with me about products, the business, and he reassured me that he’s used the products on his dog Lola, and if both Lola and the owners don’t like the product, they don’t sell it. I ordered Woofwild Natural Dog Balm and Zuke’s Chicken Mini Naturals Treats
Pawlux also has a fun blog and an advice column,“Ask Lola” fun cartoons from the New Yorker and some pretty funny video clips like; Lola vs the Squirrels, Poodle Playing the Piano, and an old Dial commercial. There are some ecofriendly tips and some pet tips throughout different post on the blog.
Pawluxury is very friendly earthy company who is truly passionate about what they sell and how they sell it. Visit and buy from them! 4 paws up
