Disney Dogs that I have loved

Disney Dogs that I have loved

Had a magical time at Disney World for Spring Break, which I swore I would never ever do a Spring Break at Disney….the lines, the price, the chaos. After finding a good deal and relenting to the reality that traveling on Spring Break with your kids is the best for their school life (no absences, make-up homework and gives them the pre-and post spring break stories to tell) the next big question was, what do we do with our dog? We would be gone for close to 2 weeks; not only do kennel fees add up but it seemed too lonely. I looked online and saw that Disney has a kennel…$$$$$$$ and a “program”$$$$$$$$. Has anyone used Disney’s kennels? I am lucky that Grandpa volunteered to take him. On our way to Disney (Michigan to Florida) I did see more people with small dogs in different hotels. I saw more hotels have clear policies on pets and pet fees. Has anyone taken their dog on a long trip with them? I did sometimes feel a little guilty that I didn’t take him, but as I said, I also felt lucky that he could spend some time with Grandpa and Chris up North. I did remind Grandpa not to let Cocoa get eaten by a coyote or run with scissors ☺.

Kendall's Speedy Design Contest

Kendall's Speedy Design Contest

Here is the winner of the Kendall Speedy Design Challenge! SOOOOO AWESOME! I spoke at Kendall School of Design to some industrial design students. I challenged them to come up with a holiday business card concept. They only had 15-20 minutes to sketch. They need to have listened to me (client), look at the product and my marketing materials and quick sketch. This team was allowed to fix up their winning concept and send it to me after they had won the sketching contest. I am so proud of them! Anyone interested in these designers please comment below. Maybe using this card will help get ClipCleany to market, people are buying for dogs this season http://tinyurl.com/235nsnn

CocoaLeo’s Grooming for Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Ok in these rough economic times isn’t everyone wondering what would Cocoaleo do? Well, right now, he is getting ready to go visit his cousin Lola (a Chihuahua) in Detroit Rock City (a.k.a Hockeytown) for Thanksgiving. It’s cold here in Michigan so I need to decide to get his regular lion’s cut or go with a teddy bear. I thought maybe his fans could decide. Is this too much?

Also, Amy ,the cool librarian sent me some great new pet articles in them I found a new blog http://www.scratchingsandsniffings.com/ This seems like a pretty up-to-date blog with good information. Another new one I found is http://www.pawfun.com. Watch Benny roll over, cause you won’t find any fancy tricks like that here.
